2017 European Tour: Hero Indian Open
March 09, 2017 by Marc Jerbs

From March 9 up to March 12, the DLF Golf and Country in New Delhi, India will host the Hero Indian Open. The Hero Indian Open is part of the European Tour and will be co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour for the third straight year.

The Gary Player Course at the DLF Golf and Country Club will be used instead of the Arnold Palmer Signature course. The Gary Player Course measures 7,373 yards and has a scenic design that included two big lakes, rolling greens and unique bunkers.

In recent years, the Hero Indian Open has been dominated by the rivalry between India's top golfer SSP Chawrasia and Anirban Lahiri. Both golfers have won the tournament and has also been as runner-ups in the last four years.

Defending champion SSP Chawrasia will not only defend his title against his fellow countrymen. He will also be on the lookout for Spaniard Rafa Cabrera Bello, Australians Scott Hend and Brett Rumford. The sportsbook handicappers have installed Anirban Lahiri as the favorite to win the Hero Indian Open on Sunday.
