2018 European Tour: South African Open December 06, 2018 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Randpark Golf Club in Johannesburg, South Africa will host the South African Open. This golf tournament will be played at Randpark's Bushwillow and Firethorn courses. All players will play each of the course in the 1st and 2nd round while the 3rd and final round will be held at the Firethorn course.

The cream of the crop of South African golfers, including several Major winners will be participating in the South African Open. Defending champion Chris Paisley will be competing with against homegrown talents such has Branden Grace, Charl Schwartzel, George Coetzee and Hennie Otto.

The last South African Open held in Randpark was in 1995. In that edition, Retief Goosen beat Ernie Els to lift the trophy. The last home grown golfer to win the South African Open was Brandon Stone in 2016.

The sportsbook handicappers installed Louis Oosthuizen as the golfer to beat on the 4-day South African Open at the Randpark Golf Club.
