2018 PGA Tour: Tour Championship
September 21, 2018 by Marc Jerbs

Tiger Woods opened the 1st round of the Tour Championship with a 5-under 65 to co-lead the Tour Championship with Rickie Fowler. Woods tamed the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA with 4 birdies, an eagle and a lone bogey.

In the last 9 months, Tiger Woods has steadily improved his game in his return journey in the PGA Tour. He's now hitting confidently with his driver while his iron play is still the best in the PGA Tour.

The long layoff and rust may have hindered him this season but with one last PGA Tour tournament he is primed to win his 80th PGA tournament and 1st win from his comeback season.

With still three rounds left, Tiger Woods will be chased by worthy challengers such as Rickie Fowler, Gary Woodland, Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Tony Finau.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Tiger Woods as the man to beat on Sunday's final round of the Tour Championship.
