2020-21 PGA Tour: 120th US Open Championship September 17, 2020 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the PGA Tour will host its 2nd major tournament of the season, the 120th US Open Championship.

The four-day tournament will be played at the Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York.

This season's US Open Championship was supposed to be held in June but was cancelled and rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fans and spectators are still not allowed in the golf course as part of the safety protocols implemented by the PGA Tour and local organizers.

Defending champion Gary Woodland will defend his title against 143 players including World No. 1 Dustin Johnson.

He will begin his 1st round at 1:05pm EDT together with amateur qualifier Andy Ogletree and Ireland's Shane Lowry.

Dustin Johnson will start his 1st round paired with Bryson DeChambeau and Tony Finau at 1:16pm EDT while three-time US Open winner Tiger Woods will start at 8:07am EDT with the company of Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Dustin Johnson as the player to beat on Sunday's last round of the US Open Championship.
