2020 NBA Finals Game 5: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat October 08, 2020 by Marc Jerbs

On Friday, the Los Angeles Lakers will face the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the 2020 NBA Finals.

Tip-off is set at 9:00PM EDT.

Los Angeles currently leads the series, 3-1 and will have a chance to claim the Larry O'Brien trophy if they win Game 5.

In Game 4, the Heat was able to stay close with the Lakers but fell short in the last quarter due to the Lakers constant pressure in defense and bulldozed its way against the Heat's interior defense.

With their back against the wall, Miami will not waver but will still push through to extend the series for another day.

The two-day rest could could be beneficial to the Heat's banged bodies as Bam Adebayo is still nursing an injury when he played in Game 4.

Miami is hoping that it will also help injured Goran Dragic to play in Game 5.

The Lakers are definitely in the driver seat in this series.

It is up to them to win it all in Game 5 but closing out a series is not easy as the Heat is a stubborn and pesky opponent when the game is on the line.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Los Angeles Lakers as the favorite to win against the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the 2020 NBA Finals.
