2020 UFC Fight Night Jacksonville: Overeem vs. Harris May 14, 2020 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, UFC's third card over a seven-day period will feature the heavyweight match between Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris.

The last event that started in UFC 249 will be held again in Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida and with no fans in attendance.

Alistair Overeem is rank No. 8 in UFC's heavyweight division.

At age 39, he is near the end of his illustrious MMA career. He fought with current heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 203 in September 2016 but lost via a 1st round knockout.

After the his knockout loss, he's gone 4-4 in his last eight matches and is coming off a controversial and last four seconds 5th round knockout against Jairzinho Rozentruik last December.

Ninth ranked Mark Harris was supposed to fight Alistair Overeem last December 2019. However, a tragic family situation forced him to forego his match.

He has not climbed the Octagon ring since July 2019 but he was on the rise as he scored three knockout wins which earned him a chance to fight Alistair Overeem last December.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Mark Harris as the favorite to defeat Alistair Overeem on Saturday's UFC Fight Night in Jacksonville, FL.
