2021 PGA/European Tour Golf Major: 121st US Open June 17, 2020 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Torrey Pines Golf Course (South) in San Diego, California will host the 3rd golf major of the season, the 121st US Open.

The last time Torrey Pines Golf Course hosted the US Open was in 2008 wherein Tiger Woods won in a playoff with Rocco Mediate.

It was his 3rd US Open title and got his 14th career major title.

The majestic course of Torrey Pines is surrounded by the San Diego coastline which features an up-and-down fairway, thick rough and small greens.

Ball-striking is premium in order to conquer the course as the last four winners of the US open are elite drivers.

Bryson DeChambeau will play and defend his US Open title he won last year at Winged Foot.

Joining him are 155 golfers which included the top 65 golfers in the world.

He will start the first two rounds with Tyler Strafaci and Hideki Matsuyama.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Jon Rahm as the golfer to beat in the 121st US Open.
