On June 9, the Queensland Maroons will face the New South Wales Blues in the annual State of Origin best-of-three rugby league series.

The State of Origin is one of the greatest sport's rivalry in Australia that could rival any international competitions.

Game 1 will be held at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

Tickets have been sold out in a matter of minutes it was released for sale.

The Queensland Country Bank Stadium holds around 25,000 spectators and a possible 1800 seats will be added before Game 1.

Kick-off is set at 8:10PM AEST.

Defending champion Queensland Maroons will try to get its 23rd win against the New South Wales Blues.

The Blues has an injury-free line-up and have received a major boost as Payne Haas declared himself fit to play in Game 1.

For the defending champions, they will be without star player Kalyn Ponga, who's out after failing a key fitness test and was not included in the line-up.

Without him, it was reported that Valentine Holmes might start as fullback and Kyle Feldt will start on the wing.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the New South Wales Blues as the favorites to win Game 1 of the State of Origin on Wednesday night.
