The DP World Tour European Swing reaches it midway point with the KLM Open, previously known as the Dutch Open, which tees off at The International Golf Course in Amsterdam on Thursday, June 20.
The International Golf Course hosted the event back in 2019 when Sergio Garcia won. The course was designed by Ian Woosnam and is listed as a Par 71 at only 6,914 yards with the short Par-4 11th converted to a fifth Par-3 for this year’s event.
The International is an exposed, undulating course with wide fairways and spacious greens. However, the rough is unforgiving in places for those veering from the straight and narrow. The fair weather should encourage low scores and provide exciting golf action.
Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal, at odds of 46.00 (to win outright), will defend his KLM Open title which he won in a different course - Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, North Brabant.
Dane Rasmus Højgaard (15.00) and Italian Matteo Manassero (81.00) will be in Amsterdam too as they both hunt for their first DPWT victory in 2024.
PGA Tour winners Englishman Matt Wallace (15.00) and American Luke List (36.00) will join home favorites Joost Luiten (31.00) and Darius van Driel (81.00) in the KLM Open field.
Young Englishman Alex Fitzpatrick (31.00) could also be in the hunt for the championship too.
The 104th edition of the KLM Open has a total prize fund of $2.5m, a marked increase from the $2m offered last year. The winner will take home a $425,000. Aside from the prize money, players will also earn precious Race to Dubai ranking points.
