After a successful NBA-All Star Weekend in New Orleans, the 2nd half of the 2017 NBA Season starts on Thursday, February 23. NBA All-Star MVP Anthony Davis will start the 2nd half of the Pelicans' season with new teammate DeMarcus Cousin at his side.

It was 5-player blockbuster deal that happened right after the All-Star Game wherein the Pelicans acquired DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi through the Kings in exchange for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a 2017 first-round pick and 2017 second-rounder.

The first game of the All-Star duo will be against the Houston Rockets on Thursday. Game time is set at 9PM ET and the Pelicans will play host at the Smoothie King Center. The other marquee games scheduled for the day are the LA Clippers against the Golden State Warriors, NY Knicks meets the Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Hornets faces the Detroit Pistons.

The basketball handicappers have installed the Houston Rockets as the favorites to beat the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night.
