Adelaide's Autumn Racing Carnival: 2020 Australasian Oaks April 30, 2020 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, the South Australian Jockey Club will officially kick-off their own version of the Autumn Racing Carnival with the 2020 Australasian Oaks.

The Australasian Oaks is a Group 1 race for three year old fillies and run on set weights.

The final field of sixteen fillies will cover a total race distance of 2000 meters of the turf-surfaced Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide, South Australia. Post time is set at 3:56PM AEST.

The Robert Sangster Stake is another co-featured Group 1 race on the same day.

These are two equally important and exciting race that will open up the Autumn Racing Carnival festivities.

Multi-winner trainer Chris Waller last won the Australasian Oaks three years ago with his filly race horse Egg Tart.

The champion trainer would like to claim again another Group 1 race as he decided to field Nudge, Betcha Flying and Toffee Tongue to further boost his chance of another win.

The likes of Affair to Remember, Fascino, Moonlight Maid, Asiago, Vegas Jewel and Wings of Pastrami could give the Chris Waller's three horses a tough and challenging race.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Affair to Remember as the horse to beat on Saturday's Australasian Oaks.
