Vanderbilt Commodores faces an uphill battle against Florida GatorsNovember 04, 2009 by Marc Jerbs

The Vanderbilt Commodores have a huge task on hand this Saturday to score a huge upset against the consensus No. 1 college football team, Florida Gators. The Commodores still has not won a single SEC game this season and are in last place in the SEC-East standings.

Beating the undefeated Gators is not an easy task, but if the Commodores persevere this weekend they can do the impossible to blemish the record of the mighty Gators.

The Gators main task as the BCS draws near is to win and stay unbeaten in their last four games. By doing their last few assignments, they now lock for a spot for second straight SEC championship and has a huge chance for a second straight BCS national championship. It won't be an easy, high stakes pressure may affect their quality of play but if you are a big-time college football team, you know how to conquer your fear and perform at the highest level.

The Commodores needs to stop Gators QB Tim Tebow in orchestrating the offense of his team. Pressuring him on all corners will force him to hurry his passing and eventually commit costly turnovers. It may be tough to break the Gators' defensive line but a constant attack may easily tire and weaken the Gator's defensive linemen.

The handicappers easily handpicked the Gators as the overwhelming favorite to hand the Commodores a huge beating this weekend. It's easy to pick them since they are unbeaten but there's still a slim chance the Commodores to upset the Gators. It's my choice, what's yours?
