Yankees up on its toes against
the Red SoxAugust 18, 2010 by Marc Jerbs

Last week, the English Premier League opened its 2010-2011 season with a bang. Defending champion Chelsea scored a shutout 6-0 win against West Bromwich. Likewise, archrival Manchester United blanked Newcastle United for a 3-0 win. The top four teams that showed enormous promise in their opening matches are Chelsea, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Blackpool.

On Sunday, Manchester United will face Fulham at Craven Cottage for their first away game of the season. Man Utd's golden oldies Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs were instrumental in the club's first victory of the season.

Both players are the seniors at Man Utd, yet they still played with a lot of passion and heart. However, Wayne Rooney's scoring slide continues, he's is still goalless in 13 matches for Man Utd as well as in Team England.

Fulham hopes to rebound from a scoreless draw against the Bolton Wanderers. It was a low-key start under new manager Mark Hughes. However, Fulham may have their hands full once they face the Red Devils on Sunday.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Manchester United as the overwhelming favorite to secure its 2nd win and beat Fulham this coming weekend.
