Euro 2016 Semi-finals:Germany vs. France
July 07, 2013 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, second semi-final match at the Euro 2016 will be held at Stade Velodrome in Marseille between Germany and host nation France. Portugal punched it way to the Euro 2016 championship after disposing Wales, 2-0 in Wednesday's semi-final match.

Germany needed a heart-wrenching penalty shootout win over Italy to advance in the semi-final. While France ended the surprising run of Iceland with a compelling win.

Germany has matured in recent years as they now attack their opposition's weaknesses during the game. For sure, they will not take it easy against France. Although the absence of Sami Khedira, Mario Gomez and Mats Hummels may be the key weak points of Germany.

France started slow during the group stages of Euro 2016 but played their best as the tournament progressed. They will stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation and must move their defense up a notch against Germany.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed France as the favorites to win over Germany and advance in the Euro 2016 championship against Portugal on Thursday night.
