On Wednesday, the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Marana, Arizona will host the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. This event will feature the top 50 golfers in the world playing with each other in a match play format.
The tournament consists of four groups with 16 golfers that will play with each other in a one round win or go home match. The winner of each match play will advance into the second round until two golfers remain for the final match play.
Rory McIlroy, Louis Oosthuizen, Tiger Woods and Luke Donald were the top seed in their respective groups. All the top seeds will play the 16th seed golfer in their respective group. Rory McIlroy will face Shane Lowry at 2:05PM ET; Louis Oosthuizen will meet Richie Ramsay at 1:25PM ET; Luke Donald will play against Marcel Siem at 1:45PM ET and Tiger Woods will go up against Charles Howell III at 12:05PM ET.
The sportsbook handicappers have installed Tiger Woods as the favorite to win the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and earn his 2nd PGA title of the season. His main competitors are Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Charl Schwartzel.
