WBO Welterweight Title Match:Manny Pacquiao vs.
Juan Manuel MarquezNovember 09, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao stakes his WBO Welterweight belt against his Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez. The elegant MGM Grand will host the epic trilogy between the two world-class pugilists.

Mexican challenger Juan Manual Marquez has been telling the boxing world that he was twice robbed of a victory when he faced Manny Pacquiao in their first two fights. Their 1st fight ended in a draw but Marquez was floored 3 times but he managed to bounce back to take the fight until the 12th round. In the second fight, both fighters were bloodied and battered but Pacquiao eked out a close split decision win.

For Marquez, this third match would be his redemption and finally beat Pacquiao convincingly. However, he's moving up to welterweight for the 2nd time. He was badly beaten and outclassed by Floyd Mayweather Jr. during his first stint in this weight division. Juan Manuel Marquez believed that he has the tools to dislodged Manny Pacquiao at the top.

Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao was all business during his training camp. He started two weeks earlier than scheduled and was always on time for his gym workout. Coach Freddie Roach saw in Manny's eyes that he want to shut the mouth of Juan Manual Marquez and eked out a more convincing win on Saturday night.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Manny Pacquiao as the overwhelming favorite to Juan Manual Marquez on Saturday night. Expect a slam bang fight between these two protagonists. Better watch this match and don't expect a 4th fight since all will be settled at the MGM Grand on November 12.
